Test Optical System Aberration by Shadow Edge Method and Edge Tester Principle

 
  Knowledge Introduction
 
Shadow edge method can sensitively determine the degree of goodion converging spherical wavefront. Geometric aberrations of the objective makes the light in different regions images into different positions. The knife edge cuts the imaging beam near the image surface, you can see the shadow image with a specific shape; On the other hand, the geometric aberrations of the objective lens corresponds to a certain wave aberration at the exit pupil, and thus the knife edge equation and its shadow map can be obtained. Conversely, the typical geometric aberrations can be tested according to shadow map. The shadow edge requires simple equipment, the detection method is intuitionistic with practical value.
